Eighty Eight Inc was never suppose to be what it is today. When founder Bronson Barber had the idea for a company called Eighty Eight he envisioned snowboards, lots of snowboards. Well that didn’t quite work out but the name stuck and the philosophy has always been the same. Create a cool product that is fresh, unique, and something that he himself would buy. Because if the owner doesn’t believe in the product or support it, why would he expect anyone else to.

Eighty Eight’s first product was stickers. We made our own brand of stickers and had designs that were geared towards home decor. We got involved with college licensing after getting requests from Brigham Young University and the University of Utah. Our first college schools were the University of Utah, Brigham Young University, Utah State University and Boise State University. It was like that for the first year as Eighty Eight learned about the collegiate business and provided these universities with decals.

Since then Eighty Eight has picked up 4 additional product lines, added 10 additional colleges and are continuing to add more schools all the time. It is an exciting time for Eighty Eight and it has been fun to experience the growth of the past couple of years.
